Famous Actor Makes A Plea For Ripken To Return To The Orioles

Since his retirement in 2001 Orioles fans have been begging for Cal Ripken to return to the Orioles organization. However all attempts to date have been futile. It appears as Ripken enjoys his broadcast gig. If won’t listen to the common man maybe he’ll listen to the pleas from someone famous. Well, Ed Norton to the rescue. Actor Ed Norton turned 42 yesterday and received various happy birthday’s tweets from his 1million+ followers. It appears there was a common question from all of them: What do you want for your birthday? Norton asked for two things:

He wants people to donate to the: Maasai Wilderness Conservation Fund. The MWCT helps preserve the Maasai people of Kenya’s ecosystem and create sustainable benefits to help preserve this community and surrounding areas. More specifically, the money we raise will be used to help lion populations recover, secure land conservancies, and provide employment, education and medical services to the Maasai community
And also this: “And for Cal Ripken to come back and be Manager and GM of the Orioles and revive our poor team.”
